The love affair with the Phillies is over
Welcome to reality of playing baseball in Philadelphia. It took 16 games for the Phillies to show their true colors, and the overwhelming gravity of the last 2 seasons, a cheapskate offseason, and a fraudulent record in the first not quite 10% of games for the Phillies to draw the ire of the fanbase.
The media in the city is preaching patience, but the fans have had enough. Topper is in the hot seat, and Kevin Long as well. The impotence of the bats made themselves known this weekend, and the manager sitting there staring into space while JT Realmuto loses his mind after an AWFUL 3rd strike call by Tony Randazzo. Full at bat here.

No Longer “Philly Rob”

No cards this weekend as it was extremely busy. This morning everyone calling for Topper’s job. I agree. There needs to be a shakeup of some sort as this underperforming lineup hasn’t actually defeated anyone through offensive throughput and a complete effort team win all season. This team SUCKS. They are frauds. They are complacent. They are losers, and dreams of the post-season at this point are laughable. They need a shakeup, and they need to be yanked from their comfort zone of refrigerated drinks and heated benches and see the cold hard truth. They are a terrible baseball team who doesn’t put in the work or give a damn to get better. A bunch of overpaid millionaires who can’t even change their approach at the plate to score a run. A pathetic display of baseball as the ownership went cheap in the offseason and screwed the fans over from $1 hot dogs to ultra luxury decadent desserts that nobody asked for.
All we want is a baseball team hungry enough to do anything to win. These clowns can’t do the MINIMUM to beat last place teams. They have turned the city against them because of their perceived laziness and they won’t get the adoration and love back until they earn it. I doubt that will happen under Rob Thompson, and frankly I don’t think this team has what it takes to get there.
Prove us wrong.
