Sunday Night Random Thoughts

In the time since our time picking up the 1989 Fleer Wax box & so much more at the local card shop, we’ve picked up a bunch of stuff that will keep us busy for months into the season. Here is a quick rundown:

  • Phones down – brought some junk wax packs to some friends
  • Bowman 90s loose cards in original boxes collection
  • Card Show – Vintage revelation – 1965 Topps cards of the 1964 Phillies Team & wax pickups

Phones down – Recently I was hanging out with friends and everyone was on their phones. I broke out packs of 1989 Donruss, 1990 Bowman, 1990 Fleer. They had a blast and the gum was eaten! “Tasted like a grandma’s basement” they said!!

This Bowman loose card collection was a Facebook find, boxes preserved in amazing condition. Inside those boxes are loose cards from those brands and years. I’ve never seen anything like this from those years. Can’t wait to dig into this.

Went to a local card show, and I picked up some amazing 1965 Topps cards of the 1964 Phillies. This card show cemented my move away from picking up most modern (current) cards, as there is so many more stories and more to learn with vintage cards. Also, I just realized I picked up two Gus Triandos cards. There are other cards I picked up at the show, more on that in a future post.

Until next time!
