Fire Topper. Fire Kevin Long. Fire anyone. Fire EVERYONE. This team is headed into Chicago on a 4 game losing streak, and being swept by the Mets. They almost lost a 7 run lead in the Marlins game. From the hitting to the bullpen, and now the starting pitching is cracking. The fanbase is pissed. They should be. This team is drunk on apathy, and chewing uncrustables in the dugout and not giving a damn. The lasting legacy of this team if nothing changes, is a pathetic team who can’t get it done when the pressure is on. Now the pressure is on constantly because they’ve blown their lead. It’s not even May, and it’s so hard to watch. Something has to change, and it’s reaching a boiling point.
Cards
No cards to show off today, but I’ve been organizing my collection in a different way. I’ve pulled a monster box aside and put all the Phillies cards in there that I had laying about. As far as the other cards go, I’ve got a loose idea of putting them into brands, years, and then teams. This is very different from what I typically do which is put them in number order. I’m considering doing it that way to sell them off at a show in that way.
Focus
The focus extends to the blog. The eventual goal is to have an online catalog of cards. I’m focusing on Phillies cards, and how amazing would it be to have an online catalog of Phillies cards throughout history with a Robert Edwards auction level writeup of each card. THAT is the goal, and I’m going to work towards that with the rest of the season.
